He is a researcher at the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship, Faculty of Arts, Charles University, where he completed his doctoral studies in 2025. Since 2025, he has also been working at the Charles University Central Library, where he is involved in training staff in the field of artificial intelligence, developing and implementing AI methodologies, and contributing to the development of institutional regulation of AI at Charles University.

In his professional and teaching activities, he focuses primarily on the responsible use of artificial intelligence in the academic environment, information science and quantitative approaches to the study of information. He has also long focused on bibliometrics, scientometrics and research evaluation (he worked at the Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences from 2017 to 2025), data analysis, quantitative research methods, and the theory and philosophy of information.
